Cervelo bicycle company produce some of the most amazing bikes we have ever seen - check out the quality of their website as a reflection of the kind of attention to detail we're talking about. They are big in the Triathlon race bicycle market doing an impressive range - really tested their designs thouroughly on the road and improving all the time (click here - discontinued cervelo bike models & prototypes). They also do a full range of road racing bikes - again truely amazing just to look at!

Cervelo have gone from practically nothing to having a full professional team sponsored by 2003 but looking at their bikes and cycling products its easy to see why they have grown so fast! Put these Cervelo bikes down as a must see if you are looking to buy a top end road bicycle.

Cervelo Carbon Fiber Technology They say: Although low weight is important while climbing, it is rather pointless if the frame does not possess the stiffness to transfer the rider's power to the rear wheel or if it lacks the rigidity to safely descend on the other side of the mountain. Therefore the true measure of a good design is not to have the lowest weight, but the highest stiffness-to-weight ratio.

Through our experience in the use of carbon fiber both in bicycle and aerospace products the Cervélo team has a unique understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of different materials.

Carbon fiber offers the opportunity for significant weight reduction when used correctly, but the selection of materials, thicknesses and how they are put together is especially important to provide a progressive failure mode, and absorb shock and impacts.

In addition to the engineering and design expertise, a critical component of Cervélo's design validation and Quality Control process is the routine testing of Cervélo custom manufactured parts.

This results in lighter, stronger and better fitting parts that significantly exceed competitor and industry standards.

here's what they say about there newest bikes:

CERVELO R2.5 CHORUS BICYCLE
The completely reworked 2005 Cervelo R2.5 is 200g lighter, yet stiffer and stronger than the original Cervelo R2.5. With four Tour de France stage wins, the overall team classification, and a podium finish for Basso, the Cervelo R2.5 has racked up an impressive palmarès in its brief two years in the peloton. The Cervelo R2.5 Chorus uses the same frame as the Cervelo R2.5 Team, but with the beautiful Campagnolo Chorus group and 3T front-end. See approximate prices at bottom of this page. Call us for availability.

ABOUT CERVELO R2.5 TEAM BICYCLE
Developed for and with Team CSC, the Cervelo R2.5 illustrates the collaborative powers of Vroomen White Design with the practical experience of Tour de France winner and eternal equipment perfectionist Bjarne Riis. The 2005 Cervelo R2.5 uses a new manufacturing process, new tube & lug shapes and new lay-ups to create a frame that is among the lightest in the peloton yet is so strong that Team CSC regards it as its workhorse carbon frame. It comes with the full Team CSC component package. See approximate prices at bottom of this page. Call us for availability.

CERVELO R2.5 BAYONNS CYCLE
We have been working on incorporating some new features into the Bayonne. Fortunately or unfortunately, while working on these features Phil designed more and more ways to improve upon the Bayonne, so much so that he has created a whole new beast. And, the developments are going so quickly that we feel that in the not too distant future, we can have a frame that, while a bit more expensive than the Bayonne, caters to the same audience and offers VERY significant benefits over the Bayonne. See approximate prices at bottom of this page. Call us for availability.

CERVELO Soloist-CENTAUR BIKE
The Cervelo Soloist bicycle is the most versatile bike available today. Team CSC uses it in stage races and the classics (including wins in Liège-Bastogne-Liège, Paris-Nice and Criterium International). Simon Lessing won Ironman USA on it in his first ever attempt at that distance. If you want a full-aero road bike, or a bike for road riding as well as the occasional time trial or triathlon, the Cervelo Soloist provides you with two bikes in one thanks to its adjustable geometry and flippable head that easily changes the seattube angle from 73 to 76 degrees. For 2005 it comes with the gorgeous Centaur 10-speed group instead of Ultegra. See approximate prices at bottom of this page. Call us for availability.

CERVELO Soloist TEAM BIKE
The Cervelo Soloist is the least expensive way to ride the exact same frame the pros ride. Team CSC's wins in Liège-Bastogne-Liège, Paris-Nice and Criterium International prove that the reasonable price does not affect its performance. This light and stiff road racing package offers the versatility of comfort (it is also CSC's training bike), aerodynamics, and the ability to morph into a TT/Tri bike using the Cervélo aero seatpost with flippable head. See approximate prices at bottom of this page. Call us for availability.

CERVELO Soloist CARBON BIKE
Team CSC riders always face a conundrum when picking their bike for a race. Do they go with the incredibly lightweight Cervelo R2.5 or with the very aero Cervelo Soloist? Some like Jens Voigt swear by the Cervelo Soloist, which perfectly suits his riding style of long breakaways. Others like Carlos Sastre, the first ever professional cyclist to ride a prototype Cervelo R2.5, have a preference for the Cervelo R2.5. See approximate prices at bottom of this page. Call us for availability.

CERVELO Dual BICYCLE
In 2004 the Cervelo Dual became the best selling triathlon bike in its class. It was the Editor's Pick in the under $2000 category in American Tri, though it's only $1499. With a pro-level frame, no-nonsense functional design and a rock-solid parts kit, the best thing we could do with the Cervelo Dual is not change a thing. Tamara Kozulina won the World Long Course Championships with a stock Cervelo Dual, including the Ultegra drivetrain and Ritchey aerowheel. Only her rear wheel was not stock. That what makes the Cervelo Dual a pro-level bike without the pro-level price. See approximate prices at bottom of this page. Call us for availability.

CERVELO Dual10 / Dual 10
As Dan Empfield, founder of QR and editor of slowtwitch.com says: “There are bikes ridden in the front men's pro pack at Kona that are not as good as the Cervelo Dual.” The frame offers all the details and performance tricks one could expect of a frame twice the price, so there really wasn't anything we wanted to change there. To sweeten the deal we created the absolute finest parts kit we could, including the new Shimano Ultegra 10-speed group, FSA aerodynamic front-end, Velomax Vista wheels and Cervelo's new TT-specific saddle. See approximate price of Cervelo Dual 10 at bottom of this page. Call us for availability.

CERVELO P2K / P 2K / P2 K
The Cervelo P2K is the much-refined successor of the world's first full-aero production frame with rearwheel cutout - the Cervélo P2. Though second in line behind the Cervelo P3 family, the often copied, never matched Cervelo P2 K would make for an excellent top-of-the-line model at any other company. Loaded with Cervélo innovations like the TrueAero airfoils, Smartwall butting, horizontal dropouts with setscrews, ICS internal cablestops, seamlessly integrated aero seatpost shape and adjustable geometry, the Cervelo P2K is still the bike everybody is chasing. See approximate prices at bottom of this page. Call us for availability.

CERVELO P2 SL
The Cervelo P2 SL is a SPECIAL EDITION version of the Cervelo P2K, offering a lighter frame with the more scratch-resistant finish of the Cervelo P3 SL. IMPORTANT: Please note that the sizing for the Cervelo P2 SL follows the same system as the Cervelo P3 SL, not the Cervelo P2K. So the 48cm and 51cm sizes use 650c wheels, while the 53cm, 55cm, 58cm and 61cm sizes use 700c wheels. For more information, please see the geometry section. See approximate prices at bottom of this page. Call us for availability.

INFORMATION ON CERVELO Cervelo P3
The Cervelo P3 was what originally attracted Team CSC's Bjarne Riis to Cervelo in 2003. At that time the Cervelo P3 was already an icon in time trialing, with pro cyclists regularly rebadging Cervelo P3s to make them look like their sponsored equipment. But the Cervelo P3's renown goes beyond time trialing. It is also the most successful bike model in Ironman triathlon history with fourteen wins! We strongly believe in Ferdinand Porsche's “Change is easy, improvement is much more difficult” and so the Cervelo P3 frame will remain in the line-up for 2005, but now at an even more affordable price and with an upgraded Ultegra 10-speed kit. See approximate prices at bottom of this page. Call us for availability.

CERVELO P3 SL
At the 2004 Tour de France Ivan Basso made the maiden-voyage of the Cervélo Cervelo P3 SL. A lighter version of the venerable Cervelo P3, it once again underlined Cervélo's excellence when it comes to designing time trial bikes. Thanks to its clean, aerodynamic construction including the patented curved seattube to create an optimal airflow around the rear wheel, the improvements made on the Cervelo P3 SL allowed Ivan Basso, not a known time trial specialist, to ride the time trial of his life and defend his spot on the podium in the Tour. The Cervelo P3 SL model that Basso rode in the Tour is now available to everyone as a 2005 model. See approximate prices at bottom of this page. Call us for availability.

INFORMATION ON CERVELO P3 CARBON
For the past few years, we have been working on further improvements for the Cervelo P3 line of bikes. Though the Cervelo P3 design is already very clean aerodynamically, we saw the potential for improvement in the headtube area, the shape of the seattube and how it meets up with the seatstays. However, to achieve these improvements we had to switch to carbon, as it allows us to make certain shapes not possible in any other way. In fact, even in carbon some of the shapes are very difficult to achieve, borne out by our mould manufacturer who let us know that the Cervelo P3 Carbon mould is by far the most difficult he has ever made. But the result has been worth it, and we proudly introduce the Cervelo P3 Carbon as the new standard in time trial bikes. See approximate prices at bottom of this page. Call us for availability.

CERVELO WOLF TT
At Cervélo we view the fork to be of equal importance as the frame. Both for handling and for aerodynamics, a good fork can have a huge impact on performance. From our early days, we have worked on fork designs, in fact the first time we ever went to the windtunnel we took only one frame and countless forks. With the development of the Cervelo P3 Carbon frame, we also revamped our fork design and the result is the Wolf TT. See approximate prices at bottom of this page. Call us for availability.
