Litespeed Bicycle Frame Materials

There are three main frame building materials used in the world of high-performance bicycle frame building. These compounds are Aluminum, Carbon Fiber and Titanium alloys. Out of these frame building materials - we believe that Titanium offers the best mix of mechanical, physical and chemical properties to giving best combination of lightness, longevity, frame stiffness, weight and overall bike ride quality.

Litespeed Frames Tubing Technology

Here at Lightspeed bicycles - we've found that by using very specialized tubing shapes, we are able to build bicycle frames that resist the various forces generated in aggressive racing and general road cycling. As an example of this a round tube, is the best shape to resist torsional and twisting, however a square / rectangular tube is the best option to counteract bending and bladed tube design is the best bicycle tubing for maximising bike frame aerodynamics. So then , Litespeed have created their own 'Geometrically Enhanced Tubing' or GET bicycle technology.

Litespeeds custom bicycles are in a class of their own. At Lightspeed's cycle factory we use our own machinery, staff and frame designers totally dedicated to custom building and fabrication. Litespeed staff work daily at one task - creating perfec designs and constructing custom bicycles. Making a custom Litespeed bicycle is considerably more complicated than making a round tube frameset. Litespeed build many round tubes frame designs at our custom bike build shop - however we know that you should be able to have any cycle frame tube shape / material and geometry you need for your own riding needs. Litespeed bikes can access exclusively - hundreds of tubing shapes and materials with no limits on frame geometries to design and build your bicycle. This translates as a guaranteed perfect fit and hence ride.

Lightspeed Bikes - use Super Technology

Litespeed insist every bike frame is meticulously drawn on CAD (Computer Aided Design) systems to ensure utmost bicycle design accuracy and perfection. The drawings are then approved by the rider (you) and the cycle shop. Litespeed's competitors often build 'close to your needs' frames with already mitered off-the-shelf tubes. Often you won't see the frame until it's delivered and therefore have to trust they're matching your biking needs. Litespeed bikes has an approach that works closely with you and your bike shop dealer to design a dream just for you. The entire frame design and building process takes a short 3-5 weeks.
